Vision and Mission

Mission:

            

All municipalities are under the control of local government and consist of various public activities. Its main objective is to manage all types of civic services and developmental activities of the municipal area from the municipality

            

* In order to build a planned city under the master plan proper land use plan, road network plan including transport and traffic management plan, water drainage and environment management plan development and accordingly construction and management of all types of facilities including industrial establishments.

            

* Pavements will be constructed along with tree planting and adequate street lights for the construction of infrastructure and beautification of municipal areas for recreational facilities.

            

* Development of drainage system for water drainage in a planned manner. Installation of deep tube wells and overhead tanks as per requirement, iron and arsenic free water will be supplied through pipe lines.    
* Providing all types of quality physical infrastructure and civic services to ensure citizen service facilities.

            

* Adopting programs to improve socioeconomic conditions and reduce poverty with the aim of building a safe city.

            

* Activities will be taken for the establishment of e-governance including recruitment and training of manpower, management of administrative work in modern municipality and information exchange in order to build a financially efficient and self-sufficient municipality.

            

* To ensure and continue the participation of municipal citizens and other stakeholders including women and poor representatives in all financial administrative and municipal service activities of the municipality.

            

Vision:

            

This municipality is playing an important role in building Bangladesh as a fully digital municipality and will continue to do so in the future. In continuation of that, increasing the amount of facilities provided by the municipality and ensuring the quality of services, poverty alleviation through employment creation, better education, health and sports facilities by building sustainable infrastructure with safe communication system, well-planned drainage, sewage disposal, waste management, etc. By ensuring clean water supply system, building agriculture-based industrial areas, environment and women friendly, terrorism and drug free, active in establishing justice, establishing transparent municipal councils, ensuring advanced civic facilities, we are committed to build a municipality full of light and aesthetics.
